Let's see how to thinn the flowers and fruits of apples! Flower thinning and fruit thinning is a key technology to improve apple quality. It is also an effective way to overcome the annual fruits, reduce tree nutrition consumption and prolong fruit life.
After pollination of apple, we must thinn flowers and fruit in time. We should pay attention to the following ten aspects.
1. Looking at the time, the buds are obviously exposed. It is more appropriate to show red at the top. When the buds are thinned, the leaves should be kept until the flowers are thinned and the fruits are set within 30 days after the flowers are thinned.
2. Look at the climate, if there is often late frost in the local calendar, it is better to be late and sparse. After the late frost is over, it will be determined according to the severity of the frost. If there is no frozen area in flowering period, buds can be thinned.
3. Looking at the varieties with serious physiological fruit drop, the young fruit can be thinned after two weeks of flower drop, while the varieties with light physiological fruit drop should be thinned earlier.
4. Look at the weak trees early sparse, strong trees late sparse and more.
5. Look at the amount of flowers to spend more sparse, spend less sparse, late sparse, or not sparse.
6. Look at the weak flower bud, axillary flower bud, long fruit branch flower bud and late development flower bud can be more sparse and less retained; strong flower bud, top flower bud and short fruit branch flower bud can be appropriately less sparse and more retained.
7. Leave a fruit 15-20 cm from a small fruit and a fruit 20-30 cm from a large fruit. Single fruit retains center fruit, double fruit retains symmetrical fruit, so that the whole tree distributes evenly, and leaves 2-3 more fruits as insurance coefficient.
8. Look at the secondary shoots of the fruit table to set fruit according to the secondary shoots, that is, there is a single fruit on the secondary shoots of the fruit table, two fruit sets on the secondary shoots of the two fruit tables, no fruit sets on the secondary shoots of the fruit table (except for the varieties of short fruit branches).
9. Look at the axillary flower bud branch of fruit branch and the fruit branch obliquely growing on the short branch axis of the backbone. There are more fruit deformities, which should be properly removed.
10. Juvenile fruits with strong growth, flat shoulders, natural drooping and calyx facing down should be kept more when the fruit is in good shape.
